STC Youth Team Alumni Recognized in Wichita Eagle High School Girls and Boys All Metro Teams
Multiple STC Youth Team Alumni were recognized by The Wichita Eagle in their 2024 High School Girls and Boys All Metro Track and Field Teams. Recognized STC Alumni members trained with the STC Youth team during the 2023-2024 Indoor Team, or are currently training with the 2024 Outdoor Team. Congratulations to the athletes listed below for their outstanding achievements during their recent high school seasons! All hard workers and outstanding young people!

Youth Spring/Summer Outdoor Season Begins in May
We are pleased to again offer Spring/Summer Track and Field Training beginning on May 1, 2024. Kids can join at any time during the Spring/Summer Season. The first practice will be Wednesday, May 1, 2024, from 615p until 745p outside at Wichita State University’s Cessna Stadium. Athletes ages 7 through 18 (and May 2o24 High School graduates) are able to participate. Training for Sprinting, Distance, Hurdles, Jumps, Throws and Pole Vault begins in June!
All Practices will be held on the Wichita State University campus at Cessna Stadium or inside the Heskett Center. Practices begin with an organized, group warm-up activity designed to both stretch and teach appropriate and applicable body movement positions necessary for every event in Track and Field. Spring/Summer Youth Outdoor Program
Planning is underway for our Spring/Summer Youth Outdoor Program. Practices will be held on the Wichita State University campus at Cessna Stadium and the Heskett Center. STC to Host Two Youth Indoor Meets in January Chiller and February Freeze 2024
We are excited to announce the scheduling of two Youth Indoor Meets in 2024!
The Shocker Track Club Youth Indoor Classic January Chiller Meet will be held on Friday and Saturday, January 19-20, 2024, and the February Freeze Meet will be held on Friday and Saturday, February 9-10, 2024, at the Wichita State University Heskett Center.

Important notes –
– This meet is for Youth athletes of all ages – 8U through current high school students.
– The cost is $35 for Youth for up to four (4) events.
– Relays are $20 each for the 4×400 and 4×800 for High School Athletes ONLY! Pay at the meet.
– Online Registration and Payment is available NOW on Direct Athletics (www.directathletics.com)
– The Pole Vault (both genders) and High School Shot Put (Ages 15-18 – both genders) competitions will be held on Friday night, January 19, 2024 and February 9, 2024.
– All other Field and Running events will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024 and February 10, 2024.
– Completion of the USATF Participant Waiver will be required for ALL athletes participating in the meet.

Karynne David and Adryana Shelby Earn All-America Status at USATF Junior Olympics
Karynne David and Adryana Shelby concluded their 2023 Outdoor Track and Field seasons by earning All-American status at the 2023 USATF Junior Olympics in Eugene, Oregon at Historic Hayward Field on the University of Oregon campus!
David, a Wichita Heights High senior-to-be, and a KSHSAA finalist in the 6A 100m, 200m, and 400m in 2022 and 2023, finished in 3rd place in the 17/18 Girls 400m Dash. Competing in lane 8, David posted a new PR of 55.56!
Shelby, a Wichita Northwest High senior-to-be, and two-time reigning champion in the 6a 300m Hurdles in 2022 and 2023, finished in 7th place in the 17/18 Girls 100m Hurdles! Shelby nearly equaled her PR of 14.22 by finishing in 14.40!
Congratulations to Karynne and Adryana for their outstanding work ethic and commitment!
14 STC Athletes Qualify for USATF Junior Olympics in Eugene, Oregon
Fourteen Shocker Track Clubbers punched their tickets to compete in the 2023 USATF Junior Olympics by placing in the top 8 of their respective events at the USATF Region 9 Championship Meet held on July 6-9 at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
STC Qualifiers included – Olivia Brunk (100, 200, and 400), Genevieve Mick (High Jump), Vivian Lieurance (100mH, 200mH, High Jump and Pole Vault), Megan Smart (Javelin), Isabella Powell-Pandiri (100mH), KateLyn Nichols (High Jump and Triple Jump), McKinlee Walker (High Jump, Long Jump and 100mH), Gabrielle Newell (10omH), Faith Ekart (800m and 1500m), Karynne David (100m, 200m and 400m), Lanie Page (High Jump and Long Jump), Adryana Shelby (100mH and 400mH), Nathan Webb (400m and 800m), and Cooper Nation (Long Jump and High Jump).
The USATF Junior Olympics will be held in Historic Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, on the campus of the University of Oregon, on July 24-30, 2023.
Spring/Summer Youth Outdoor Training – Complete Information Available!
We will again have a spring/summer outdoor Track and Field program for athletes ages 7 and up! Practices will begin on April 3, 2023 at 615p and held at Wichita State University’s Cessna Stadium. Kids can join the program at anytime this spring/summer.

This meet is for youth athletes ages 8-and-Under, through age 18 (including current high school students). New and Updated – November High School Cross-Country!
Shocker Track Club is excited to offer a November Cross-Country program for high school athletes interested in continuing with their season! Practices will generally be held beginning at 400p on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 with a meeting location on the Wichita State University Campus at the Heskett Center. Most practices will be held on the Wichita State University Campus. Alternate locations are at College Hill Park, Brown Thrush Park, and on Red Bud Trail. Such practices may have different start times.
Participating Athletes will have the option of competing in the Nike Regional Cross-Country Meet in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on Sunday, November 13, 2022. Participating Athletes also become automatic members of the Shocker Track Club Youth Team and can continue their running training indoors beginning in December.
