The annual Shocker Track Club Outdoor Masters – USATF Missouri Valley Association Masters Championship – Meet will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Wichita State University’s Cessna Stadium!

We are pleased to announce the following changes this year –

To receive a USATF Missouri Valley Association Masters Championship medal, you MUST be a member of USATF and provide your Membership Number.  Click here for USATF Membership Information.
(Non USATF Member Medalists will receive the Shocker Track Club Masters/Open medals.)

  • ONLINE REGISTRATION through Google Forms is available now.
  • ENVISION of Wichita, Kansas is a strategic partner and generous sponsor of Shocker Track Club Volunteers Group.  Eligible athletes MUST Contact Hannah Christenson of Envision for registration details.
  • The Opening Ceremony will be held at 1:00 P.M.  when we will recognize all of our Field Event Medalists.
  • The 55 Meter Hurdles will be added this year.
  • The Field Events will be run with a time schedule this year with a rolling schedule implemented for certain events.  But, a rolling schedule will NOT be used for the running events.
  • Youth athletes may compete in the Pole Vault again this year.
  • The Francois Boda Combo Challenge!  We are going to run the Senior Masters 300 Meter Dash, the 300 and 400 Meter Hurdles at the same time while Francois tries to run all of us down as he runs a 400 Meter Dash.   We will run heats to accommodate younger Masters and Open athletes in the 300 Meter Dash and 300/400 Hurdles.

Austin Bahner continues drive towards Olympic Trials

Decathlete and STC Elite Team Member, Austin Bahner, continued his drive toward the Olympic Trials with impressive work at the Wichita State Shocker Open meet on Friday at WSU’s Cessna Stadium!  Pole Vaulter and fellow STC Elite Team Member, Kyle Wait, performed well at the Kansas State Ward Haylett Classic in Manhattan.  Sprinter and STC Open Team Member, Aaron Babbidge, also competed well in the 100 and 200 against strong fields at the Wichita State Shocker Open.

STC Open and Elite Athletes Put on a Show!

Shocker Track Club athletes performed well in the Wichita State KT Woodman Track Classic!  Jaimie Bookout (Open Team) cleared 3.82m (12′-6-1/4″) and Kyle Wait (Elite Team) cleared 5.25m (17′-2-3/4″) en route to their respective Pole Vault victories on Saturday afternoon, and late  Friday evening, Matt Byers (Elite Team) threw 67.74m (222′-3″) for his victory in the Javelin!  RESULTS.

Austin Bahner (Elite Team) scored 7672 points to finish 3rd in the Decathlon at the Mt Sac Relays/CA Invitational Multi Event competition in Azusa, CA!  RESULTS

STC Forms Open Team

The Shocker Track Club officially created an Open Team with the appointment of Board Member Dylan Hartnett as the Director.  The Open team is designed for post collegiate athletes desiring to continue with their training and competition activities.  Four athletes were selected to the inaugural Open Team – Aaron Babbidge (Sprints, current Wichita State University student), Jaimie Bookout (Pole Vault, former 4-time State champion, formerly of the University of Kansas, and current STC Youth Team Coach), Caydrick Bloomquist (Pole Vault, formerly of Southwestern College, and current STC Youth Team Coach), and Jeremy McLaurin (Sprints, Firefighter stationed at McConnell Air Force Base).

Indoor Meet Season Begins for STC Athletes

Shocker Track Club Athletes of all levels have begun competing in the indoor season.  Elite Team Member Austin Bahner competed in the Pole Vault at the KSU Wildcat Invitational on January 9th and posted a very nice vault of 15′-1″ for a 4th place finish!  Open Team Member Aaron Babbidge competed in the Wichita State Shocker Prelude on January 16th and posted very nice times of 6.98 (60m), and 22.76 (200m), for 6th and 3rd place finishes respectively!  Youth Team members Kris Woods, Alyssa Wheeler, Gage Larson, Jake Cox, Christian Compton, and Clay Eckert competed in the National Pole Vault Summit.
