Shocker Track Clubbers Compete in Sunflower Games
Several Shocker Track Club athletes braved the heat in Topeka to compete in the annual Sunflower Games on July 15th! Competing were – Breckynn Lee (400m), Lauren Ealey (100m, 200m and 400m), Sue Nyberg (Long Jump, Discus and Hammer), Gage Larson (Pole Vault), Steve Wilson (100m), Joe Hoover (80H, Triple Jump and Shot Put), and Nicholas Rodriguez (1500m and 3000m).

Bahner Competes in the Heat in USA Nationals in Sacramento
After an unfortunate no-height in the Pole Vault, Shocker Track Club Elite Team Member, Austin Bahner, completed the Javelin and 1500m in valiant fashion to finish in 13th place with 6761 points in the Decathlon in the 2017 USATF National Championship Meet in the heat of Sacramento, California!

Nero and Manuel Put in Work on the Road and Track!
Shocker Track Club Elite Road Racing Team member, Tonya Nero, competed in the Gary Bjorklund Half Marathon on June 17th in Duluth, Minnesota. Tonya finished 6th in 1:16:01 for a new PR!

Shocker Track Club Elite T&F Team member, Joshua Manuel, competed in the 2017 USATF South Texas Association Open Masters Champion meet in San Antonio, Texas. Joshua won the open 100m with a time of 10.53.

STC Jumps Fest – A Vaulting HOT Time!
Gosh it was hot! Hot! 96 degrees HOT!
But a great time was had by all at the 3rd Annual Shocker Track Club Jumps Fest!
Shocker Track Club Elite Team Member, Jack Whitt, won the Elite Competition with a vault of 5.30m – 17′-4-1/2″. 2016 Latvian Olympian, Pauls Pujats, finished 2nd at the same height. Former Central Missouri Vaulter, Brittany Kallenberger, won the Women’s Elite competition with a vault of 3.18m, 12′-6″.
Individual competition winners were –
– Men’s Elite – Jack Whitt, Shocker Track Club Elite, 5.30m – 17′-4-1/2″
– Women’s Elite – Brittany Kallenberger, Unattached, 3.81m – 12′-6″
– Open/Youth Men – Kristopher Wood, Shocker Track Club Youth, 4.27m – 14′-0″
– Women’s Open – Sammy Van Hoecke, Unattached, 3.66m, 12′-0″
– Youth Girls – Breanna Schmitz, Tailwind Pole Vault Club, 3.35m, 10′-11-3/4″

Austin Bahner and Tobias Boese Post Big Numbers in Texas
Shocker Track Club Elite Team Member Austin Bahner, and Open Team Member, Tobias Boese, competed in the Decathlon at the 2017 Texas Greatest Athlete Meet in Dallas, Texas on June 3-4! Bahner posted a new PR of 7850 in winning the competition! Boese posted a score of 6818 in finishing 5th! Bahner’s mark automatically qualifies him for the USATF National Championship Meet in Sacramento in late June!

2017 Summer Jumps Fest Registration Now Available!
Online registration for the 2017 Shocker Track Club Summer Jumps Fest is now open at www.stcjumpsfest.com
Pole Vault competition will be contested for Youth, Elite, and Open competitors. Awards will be provided to the top 4 placers in each category.
High Jump, Long Jump, and Triple Jump can be contested in Open/Elite (age 16 and above) if there are a minimum of four competitors for each event.

STC Elite & Open Athletes Compete in Shocker Open
Shocker Track Club Elite Team athletes Austin Bahner, Joshua Manuel and Dylan Reimer, and Open Team athletes Aaron Babbidge, Alex James and Chris Peters, competed in select events in the 2017 Shocker Open at Wichita State University on Friday, May 5, 2017.
Bahner and Manuel Keep Working!
Shocker Track Club Elite Team members Austin Bahner (Decathlon) and Joshua Manuel (Sprints) competed last week at the Kansas Relays and University of Oklahoma John Jacobs Invitational, respectively. Bahner, competing in seven (7) select events in the Decathlon, finished in 14th place with 5321 points. Manuel fought through cross-winds to finish in 14th place in the 100m with a time of 10.71. STC Elite, Open, and Road Racing Athletes Get Busy!
Shocker Track Club Elite, Open and Road Racing athletes took advantage of sunny days in Santa Barbara (yes, you read that correctly), Wichita, and Lincoln, Nebraska, to post scores and times worthy of attention today!
Austin Bahner competed in the Decathlon in the Sam Adams Combined Events Invitational in Santa Barbara, California, and finished 2nd with 7441 points!

STC Open Team Sprinters Joshua Manuel (100m – 10.53w and 200m – 21.72w) and Aaron Babbidge (100m – 10.76w and 200m – 22.03w) stayed home to compete in the Friends University Invitational. See below for photos of Joshua and Aaron in action!

Shocker Track Club Road Racing Elite Team Member Tonya Nero finished 1st in the Women’s competition (44:08.2), and Open Team Members Curtis Rierson finished 2nd in the Men’s competition (45:10.6) and Emily Maier finished 17th overall (54:23.60) competed in the Hiawatha Hustle 12K event!

STC Open Team Javelin Thrower Dylan Reimer traveled to Lincoln, Nebraska to compete in the Husker Spring Invitational. Reimer posted a season-best of 65.52m (214′-11″)!
