Nero to compete at World Half Marathon Championships
STC Elite member Tonya Nero has committed to compete at the World Half Marathon Championships in Kavarna, Bulgaria on October 6th. Nero, a former All-American for Wichita State will also run in the UWI International Half Marathon in her home country of Trinidad an Tobago on October 28th. Read More

Nero/Chapman Dominate Weekend Road Races
The Wichita roads were busy with races this weekend and the women of the Shocker Track Club dominated everywhere they went. Tonya Nero won the Tanganyika 15k in record setting fashion while Danielle Chapman won a downtown 5k.
STC Master’s Meet Story/Results
After the storms blew through the streets of Wichita on Friday, Masters athletes from five different States hit the Track and charged the Field for a glorious day of competition amidst sunshine and mild temperatures. The Wichita Open/Masters Track and Field Meet at Cessna Stadium was the first USATF sanctioned meet of its kind since 2003.
Nero to run 15k Sunday at Tanganyika Park
Tonya Nero, who finished 3rd in the 4k at the JK Gold Classic last weekend, will race a distance closer to her Marathon specialty this weekend. She will be competing in the Meritrust Tiger Trot 15k at Tanganyika Park Sunday (Sept 9th) at 8:15am. Tonya Nero bio

Nero 3rd at JK Gold
Tonya Nero placed 3rd in the JK Gold Classic 4k race in Augusta, KS. Nero’s time of 13:51.69 was 24 seconds behind Aliphine Tuliamuk-Bolton from Wichita State. Read More

Elite Team Update
The Shocker Track Club Elite team had a great first year! Three athletes competed at the 2012 Olympic Trials in Eugene, Oregon: Fernada Blakely (200m), Chandra Andrews (Hammer), and Trent Mazanec (Javelin). Darius Draudvila (Decathlon) represented Lithuania at the London Olympics finishing 25th! Read More
