Elite team member Lawson Montgomery will compete in the Invitational Men’s 110m Hurdles at the 2013, Clyde Littlefield, 86th Annual, Texas Relays. The race, pitting Lawson against 2012 Olympians, takes place about 2:45 p.m., on Saturday, March 30th. Chandra Andrews, Dylan Hartnett, and Fernada Blakely will all compete in the Emporia State ESU Open in in Emporia, Kansas.
Youth Team Informational Meeting
The Parents’ meeting for the 2013 Outdoor season has been scheduled for 6:30 p.m., on Wednesday, March 27th, at the Wichita State University, Cessna Stadium, Track and Field Team room.
The Team Room is located in the west stadium, northwest corner, near the bottom of the ramp. Parking is available in the small lot off 21st Street.
At the meeting STC Youth Team representatives will introduce key members of the leadership of STC, and provide/present –
– an overview of Shocker Track Club (STC)
– an overview of the STC Youth team
– the fees for the spring/summer – OUTDOOR – session
– the spring/summer practice schedule
– the proposed spring/summer meets
– the head coaches
– the answers to any questions.

Young Finishes 7th at USA Indoor Heptathlon
Competing in his first national meet, STC Elite member Aaron Young finished a respectable 7th with 5322 points at the USA Indoor Championships in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Read More
Young Qualifies For USATF Indoor Championships
STC Elite member Aaron Young has been accepted into the Heptathlon field for the 2013 USA Indoor Track & Field Championships at Albuquerque, New Mexico. Young’s personal best score of 5441 will put him among about 10-12 athletes competing this weekend. The Heptathlon begins Friday at 11:30am and continues through Saturday. Good luck Aaron!!! All-American Masters Icon Honored at Inaugural Bill Butterworth Track Meet
WICHITA, Kan. – Cheered on by a personal fan club of family and friends, Bill Butterworth, 82, competed in dual events at the masters indoor track meet held Saturday, Jan. 26th, at Wichita State University’s Heskett Center.
Those cheers became a round of thunderous applause for Bill when the entire track meet was named for the longtime Masters Track and Field All-American, for his great contribution to the sport. He received a lovely plaque to commemorate the event, which will be forever named in his honor. Read More
