Cotter wins Prairie Fire 5k
STC Elite’s Tomas Cotter has been racing sporadically this fall in cross country with good success and he showed his form Saturday on the roads by winning the Wichita Prairie Fire 5k in a time of 14:38. This followed up last week’s 24:57 PR on the 8k cross country course at Fayetteville, Arkansas. Congrats Tomas!

Elite Team Fundraiser – 300m Run!
Want to help our STC Elite Team, Olympic hopefuls, fulfill their dreams and help Elite Team Head Coach John Wise celebrate his 40th birthday?? We have a deal for you!
Coach John Wise plans to run a 300m sprint in under 40 seconds (his goal is 39.99 seconds) to benefit the Shocker Track Club Elite Team. The sprint takes place on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Wichita State’s Historic Cessna Stadium Track at 10:00 a.m. Coach Wise needs your help to meet his goal of breaking 40 seconds, and helping the Shocker Track Club Elite Team.

Interested In Being A STC Youth Team Leader??
Shocker Track Club is accepting applications for leadership positions for its Youth Team. An informational meeting for interested individuals will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at 600p at Northeast Magnet High School – 5550 North Lycée (53rd Street North and Rock Road) in Bel Aire. Completed applications are due on Monday, October 13, 2014. 2014-15 Shocker TC Elite Team Announced!
The Shocker Track Club is pleased to announce the roster for the 2014-15 Shocker Track Club Elite and Developmental Elite Teams! Chandra Andrews (Hammer), Matt Byers (Javelin), and Tomas Cotter (Distance) return. Former Wichita State Shocker NCAA All-American athletes Matt Bahner (Decathlon), Natalie Morerod (400H), and Aliphine Tuliamuk-Bolton (Distance) join the team, along with sprinters Oliver Bradwell and Joshua Manual. Each member has the ability to earn an opportunity to compete at the USATF National Championship Indoor and Outdoor meets in 2015. Meet the entire team! >>
3rd Annual Masters Open Meet – September 13th!
There’s still time to register for the 3rd Annual Shocker Track Club “Wichita Masters/Open Track and Field Meet” on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Wichita State University’s Historic Cessna Stadium Track. Registration is open to all athletes ages 19-90+. The Pole Vault is open to Youth competitors.
Field Events begin at 900a; Running Events begin at 1000a with a relaxed, 1500m Powerwalk race for casual walkers!!!
