The Second Annual STC Bill Butterworth Masters/Open Indoor Meet is Saturday, January 4, 2014 at the WSU Heskett Center. There will also be events for youth athletes. Please register and identify your events. More information will follow!
MEETING LOCATION CHANGE – STC Youth Team Informational Meeting
The location of the STC Youth Team Informational Meeting – scheduled for Friday, November 22nd at 6:00 p.m. – has changed to the Wichita Public Schools (USD259) School Service Center at 3850 North Hydraulic. (This is a large building at the NE corner of 37th Street North and North Hydraulic).
Enter the long driveway that is just north of 37th Street. Parking is available in two available lots. Park and enter the building and sign in at the Security Dispatch window. Signage will direct you to the meeting location. See you there!
STC Youth Team Kick-off
The Board of Directors of the Shocker Track Club is pleased to announce the selection of Patrick Simon as Director of its Youth program.
An informational meeting for parents will be held at 600p on Friday, November 22nd at the Wichita State University Track and Field Team Room at Cessna Stadium to provide information about the indoor season.
Youth Team Leadership Changes
The Shocker Track Club Board of Directors has changed the leadership structure of its Youth team for the 2013 – 2014 season. Changes include new leadership positions, and team workouts and practices designed by the coaching staff of the Wichita State University Track and Field Team. Individuals interested in applying for leadership positions – Director, Assistant Director, Coaches, Team Mom/Dad, Assistant Team Mom/Dad, and Team Parents – may do so by completing the application available herein on the Youth Team “Leadership” pull-down menu, or the Shocker Track Club Youth Team Facebook page.
Register Now for the STC Masters/Open Meet!
There’s still time to register for the second annual Shocker Track Club Masters/Open meet! Adults of all ages are welcome and encouraged to “spike up” and register to compete! The meet will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Wichita State’s Cessna Stadium beginning at 900a with the open (ALL AGES) pole vault competition. Running events begin at 1030a. Wichita State T&F Announces Signings for 2013 2014
Wichita State University Director of Track and Field Steve Rainbolt announced the signing of 14 men to join the program this fall, including Rose Hill High and Shocker Track Club team member Colton Mays. “This recruiting class looks to be another very good group of newcomers for our track team,” said Rainbolt. “I am confident they will develop and contribute to success at Wichita State in the Missouri Valley Conference Championships and beyond. Youth Team Members Head to USATF and AAU JO’s
15 Shocker Track Club youth athletes qualified for either the USA Track and Field, or AAU Junior Olympic championship meets! STC’ers will be “putting it down” at the USATF meet in Greensboro, North Carolina, and the AAU meet in Detroit, Michigan. Congratulations to the hardworking athletes and their parents!
Youth Meet Today
The final home meet of the outdoor season will be held today at Wichita State’s Cessna Stadium. A wide array of events for youth of all ages begins at 900a.
STC Youth Team Members St. Louis bound
Select athletes from the STC Youth team are competing in St. Louis at the USATF Region 9 meet!!! Gooooo Shockers!! Results will be posted in Youth section as they become available.
