STC 2019 Bill Butterworth Indoor Schedule Released!
We are pleased to release the schedule for the 2019 Shocker Track Club Bill Butterworth Indoor Track Meet for Masters, Youth, Elite and Open Athletes! February 1-2, 2019 at Wichita State University’s Heskett Center.

We are co-hosting the meet with Wichita State University Track and Field this year and need to note the following changes –
– Events for invited Junior Colleges and Small Colleges will be held during the day on Friday, February 1, 2019.
– Open and Elite Athletes may compete in the Meet for Junior Colleges and Small Colleges

– Field Events for Masters athletes (not including the Weight Throw) will be held Friday night, February 1, 2019.
– The Weight Throw for Masters athletes will be held Saturday morning, February 2, 2019.
– Field events for Youth athletes will be held on Saturday morning, February 2, 2019.
– Running events for Masters and Youth athletes will be held Saturday afternoon, February 2, 2019.
Additional details will be announced over the next few weeks in this post, including the link for online registration.

STC Youth Team to Host Fundraiser at Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers
The Shocker Track Club Youth Team will host a fundraiser at Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Freddy’s location at 310 North Rock Road in east Wichita. A portion of all sales during the evening will be donated to the Shocker Track Club Youth Team. The attached coupon should be presented with your purchase! Feel free to make copies and share with friends and families for a great meal for a great cause!

Beautiful Weather Highlights Halloween Throws Pentathlon
Sunny skies and 70 degree weather provided for a glorious backdrop for the 7th Annual Shocker Track Club Halloween Throws Pentathlon sponsored by Shocker Fitness with Coach Bolt! This year’s event featured a Halloween theme with some athletes competing in costume, and everyone participating in fun activities and contests! Next year we will not contest bobbing for shot puts! 🙁
Shocker Track Club Elite Team Member, Skylar Arneson, won his 3rd consecutive Men’s Open Throws Pentathlon competition with 3719 points after winning individual competitions in the Hammer, Shot Put and Weight Throw! Isaiah Evans and Jeff Conner (the 2012 Champion) finished 2nd and 3rd respectively.
Meagan Williams, competing unattached, won the Women’s Open Competition with 3605 points. Kelsey Slawson and Amanda Kakoulias finished 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Ollie Bogdon – Women’s Masters Pentathlon – 1770 points
Ailisi Bogdon – Girls Youth Triathlon – 727 points

SCHEDULE CHANGE – Halloween Throws Pentathlon! A SCARY Throwing Time! October 20th
Due to a “space use” conflict, we will move the start of registration/check-in and competition back 30 minutes (e.g., Registration – 800a / Competition Start – 900a). Please see below for the link to the revised schedule.
The annual Shocker Track Club Halloween Throws Pentathlon – sponsored by Shocker Fitness with Coach Bolt – returns this year with a new Halloween theme and Youth competition category! Saturday, October 20th is the date; Wichita State University’s Cessna Stadium/Throwing Field is the location! The registration fee is $25 for adults and $20 for youth athletes and includes a t-shirt, lunch, beverages, and a chance to win silly fun prizes! Complete information follows!

Shocker Track Club Youth Team again offers fall/winter indoor Track and Field and Pole Vault training for the 2018-2019 season! Athletes ages 5 through 18 are welcome to participate. All ages are welcome for Pole Vault training. Complete Information and Registration information is below.

Informational Meetings –
Informational meetings will be held on Monday, September 24, 2018, and Monday, October 22, 2018, in the Wichita State University Track and Field Team Room at Cessna Stadium at 630p.
General Benefits –
The Registration Joiner Fee includes participation in all practices from the day joined through the end of February. All Athletes receive a STC Team T-Shirt, Jersey, Wristband, and Gear Bag.
Track and Field Training –
Practice Location – Wichita State University Heskett Center
Ages 5 through 18.
Events – All indoor events in Track and Field EXCEPT for Pole Vault. All implements are provided.
Joiner Registration Fees – October – $150, November – $140, December – $130, January – $120, February – $110
First practice is Monday October 1, 2018.
Practices are held on Monday and Wednesday from 630p to 800p
Pole Vault Training –
Practice Location – Northeast Magnet High School in Bel Aire, Kansas.
All Ages are welcome.
Poles are provided for practices and meets.
Joiner Registration Fees – November – $180, December – $160, January – $140, February – $120
First practice is Thursday, November 1, 2018.
Practices are held on Tuesday & Thursday from 630p to 830p and Saturday from 100p to 300p
One Saturday each month is designated for Swimming Pool drills

Shocker Track Club Elite Team Members Skylar Arneson, Tyler Knight, and Brittany Kallenberger continue to compete in outstanding settings as the calendar turns to August!
Skylar competed in the Heart of America Highland Games in Kansas City (Kansas) and came away with wins and season bests of 41′ in Braemar, 55′ in Open, 113′ in the Heavy Hammer, and 137′ in the Light Hammer!

Registration for the 2018 Wichita Outdoor Masters / USATF 2018 Missouri Valley Association Outdoor Masters Championship Meet is now open! The meet will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018, at Wichita State University’s Cessna Stadium!

STC Youth Athletes Handle Muggy Conditions at Sunflower Games
Ten (10) Shocker Track Club Youth Team athletes handled hot and muggy conditions and brought home 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals in several events at the annual Kansas Sunflower Games in Topeka, Kansas!! Congratulations!!

STC Youth Team Member Qualifies for USATF Junior Olympics!
The lone Shocker Track Club Youth Team member competing in the USATF Region 9 Qualifier meet in Little Rock, Arkansas, qualified in two events and earned the right to compete in the 2018 USATF Junior Olympics meet in Greensboro, North Carolina! Congratulations!
