UPDATED – STC Youth Indoor Track & Field and Pole Vault Program Information!
The Shocker Track Club is pleased to provide information about the 2019 – 2020 Indoor Youth Track and Field and Pole Vault training! Complete information is provided in the documents that can be downloaded below.
Indoor Track and Field training (ages 5 through 18) begins in early October at Wichita State’s Heskett Center. Practices will be held twice weekly in October and November, and three times weekly in December, January and February.
Indoor Pole Vault training (all ages of athletes) begins in early November at NE Magnet High School. Practices will be held Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and Saturday afternoons through February.

STC Open and Master Teams Programs Expanded and Strengthened
The Shocker Track Club Open and Master Team memberships have been adjusted to provide better benefits beginning with the upcoming 2019 – 2020 Indoor training season.
The STC Open Team is designed for athletes that have graduated from high school and are not competing for a college or university. Typically, the age range is from 19 through the age of 29.
$80 Black Open Team Membership provides –
This is a season membership; team benefits and amenities are provided for:
(1) Indoor Training – October through February OR
(2) Outdoor Training – March through September
This membership includes a Shocker Track Club black singlet or SS black t-shirt, or LS black t-shirt, and access to either:
(1) the Wichita State University Heskett Center for indoor practice time between October and late-February on select days when the Shocker Track Club Youth Track and Field Team (the STC Indoor Pole Vault program is NOT included) trains, OR,
(2) Wichita State University Cessna Stadium Track for outdoor practice time between April and late-July on select days, when the Shocker Track Club Youth Track and Field Team trains. Pole Vault training in June and July is included.
Free participation in any one (1) open competition meet with the approval of Wichita State University T&F Leadership –
(1) Indoor Wichita State University Track and Field meet, OR
(2) Outdoor Wichita State University Track and Field meet, OR
(3) Wichita State University Cross-Country meet
$150 Gold Open Team Membership Provides –
This membership is an annual membership and includes Team benefits and amenities from October through February AND March through September.
This membership includes a Shocker Track Club black singlet AND a black short-sleeve t-shirt or a long-sleeve t-shirt and access to: (1) the Wichita State University Heskett Center for indoor practice time between October and late-February on select days and times when the Shocker Track Club Youth Track and Field Team trains (the STC Indoor Pole Vault program is NOT included), AND,
(2) Wichita State University Cessna Stadium Track for outdoor practice time between April and late-July on select days and times when the Shocker Track Club Youth Team trains. Pole Vault training in June and July is included.

$80 White Masters Team Membership provides –
This is a season membership; team benefits and amenities are provided for EITHER:
(1) Indoor Training and Competition – October through February OR
(2) Outdoor Training and Competition – March through September
This membership includes a Shocker Track Club black singlet or black SS t-shirt or LS black t-shirt and access to either:
(1) the Wichita State University Heskett Center for indoor practice time between October and late-February on select days and times when the Shocker Track and Field Club Youth Team trains (the STC Indoor Pole Vault program is NOT included), OR,
(2) Wichita State University Cessna Stadium Track for outdoor practice time between April and late-July on select days and times when the Shocker Track and Field Club Youth Team trains. Pole Vault training in June and July is included.

STC Youth Athletes Run Well in Distance Events at AAU Junior Olympics!
Two STC Youth athletes finished their summer seasons by competing in the AAU Junior Olympics in Greensboro, North Carolina! Will N. finished 21st in the Boys (12) 3000m in 11:17.32, and 32nd in the Boys (12) 1500m in 5:04.54. Caiden U. finished 37th in the Boys (13) 3000m with a new PR in 11:05.18! Congratulations to Will and Caiden for their awesome efforts!

STC Youth Athletes Compete Hard at USATF Hershey Junior Olympics in Sacramento!
Three STC Youth athletes finished their summer seasons by competing in the USATF Hershey Junior Olympics in Sacramento, California!
Emma Wondra finished 17th in the Women’s 17/18 High Jump with a leap of 1.55m (5′-1″),
Chase Mathews finished 27th in the Boys 15/16 800m Run in a new PR of 2:06.62, and,
Maxwell Christie finished 11th in the Boys 13/14 200m Dash in 23.77, and medaled by finishing 5th in the Boys 13/14 100m Dash in 11.49!!
Congratulations to Emma, Chase, and Maxwell for their awesome efforts!

True Finishes 7th in USATF National Championship Meet
Shocker Track Club Elite Team Member Aaron True (competing in his final meet for Wichita State University Track and Field) finished 7th in the Men’s Javelin at the USATF National Championship Meet in Des Moines, Iowa with a throw of 72.05m (236′-4″)! True was competing in his second event after a storied All-American career at Wichita State University!

STC Youth Athletes Punch Tickets for USATF and AAU Junior Olympics!
Shocker Track Club Youth Team athletes competed well over the past two weekends in excessive heat and muggy conditions in Emporia, Kansas, and Tulsa, Oklahoma! Eleven (11) athletes competed in the USATF Region 9 Meet in Emporia, Kansas, while nine (9) competed in the AAU Region 16 Meet in Tulsa, Oklahoma. CONGRATULATIONS!
At the USATF Region 9 Meet, four (4) STC athletes were event/age group Champions, and nine (9) athletes overall finished in the Top 5 of their events and have qualified to compete in the USATF Junior Olympics in Sacramento, California later this month! Wichita State T&F Announces Shocker Summer Series Track Meets
Wichita State University Track and Field will again host the Shocker Summer Series Track and Field Meets! Competitors of ALL AGES are welcome! Six (6) meets will be held on Thursday nights beginning May 30, 2019 through July 11, 2019 at Wichita State University’s Cessna Stadium Track. Registration begins at 5:00 p.m. with competition starting promptly at 6:00 p.m. The $5 entry fee allows registrants to compete in as many events as they desire.

STC Elite Team Members Rock in Indoor Debuts!
Shocker Track Club Elite Team Members and a Road Racing Team member competed in two locations January 19th and posted outstanding marks in what was the season debut for most!
In Wichita at the Shocker Prelude Meet – Jaimie Bookout (1st in PV), Katie Murray (2nd in HJ), Airick Johnson (14th in 60m and 2nd in 60H), Chris Peters (5th in PV), and Joseph Silvestri (9th in 1Mile) all competed well!
In Reno, Nevada, at the National Pole Vault Summit – Nick Meyers (6th in the Elite 2 PV) and Tyler Knight (3rd in the Open Coaches PV) competed well and assisted in coaching Shocker Track Club Youth Team members!

Shocker Fitness with Coach Bolt Provides Great Workout Opportunities for Adults
If you are looking for a great total-body fitness program, we highly recommend the Shocker Fitness with Coach Bolt program. Complete details are attached. Five (5) separate ten-week sessions are held during the year beginning in early January. The cost is $55 and provides access to three one-hour workouts on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from either 530a to 630a, or 545p to 645p.
