Nearly 20 STC Youth Athletes will be competing this weekend at the annual Kansas Sunflower Games in Topeka, Kansas, and the USATF Region 9 Championships at Conway, Arkansas!

Olympian visits Youth Practice
Darius Draudvila, 2012 Lithuanian Olympian (Decathlon), visited the STC Youth team practice. Draudvila, a retired STC Elite Team Member and former Kansas State University All-American, took a break from his distance training run to provide training suggestions to the STC Youth sprint corp. The sprint corp members gained important knowledge about getting appropriate rest and maintaining and appropriate diet.
Youth Team to Host Shocker Open
The Shocker Track Club Youth Team will host its annual meet on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Wichita State University’s Historic Cessna Stadium! The action starts at 1000a with running and field events.

Youth Team Members Descend on Missouri
The STC Youth team members split up and attended two meets Saturday, needing Pullman luggage to bring home their hardware! Athletes competed in the AAU District Qualifying Meet in Lee’s Summit, Missouri and the USATF Missouri Valley Association Meet in Liberty, Missouri. Youth Team Practice Times and Meet Schedule
Effective Monday, June 2, 2014, Youth Team practices times at WSU Cessna Stadium are as follows –
Monday – 630p to 800p — Meet at the Throws field south of Charles Koch Arena
Tuesday – 630p to 800p — Meet at Cessna Stadium on the track
Wednesday – 630p to 800p — Meet at the Throws field south of Charles Koch Arena @ 630p
Thursdays – 600p – Shocker Summer Series Track Meet. All paid Youth Team members can compete in these meets free of charge.

Shocker Summer Series Meets Begin June 5th!
The Shocker Summer Track & Field Series is almost here! The first night will be Thursday, June 5 at 600p in historic Cessna Stadium at Wichita State University! Registration begins at 500p. Elite Team Throwers Head to the Desert
Competing in a stacked field, STC Elite Team Member Chris Cralle threw a PR of 246-11 (75.26m) on Thursday (5/22), and followed that with a throw of 241-08 (73.67m) on Saturday (5/24) to win both Hammer Throw competitions in the Tucson (AZ) Elite Throws Classic. Fellow Elite Team Member Matt Byers competed in the Javelin on Saturday (5/24) and finished 11th with a throw of 225-09 (68.81m). Results are available at this link >> Tucson Elite Throws Results
