2017 Summer Jumps Fest Registration Now Available!
Online registration for the 2017 Shocker Track Club Summer Jumps Fest is now open at www.stcjumpsfest.com
Pole Vault competition will be contested for Youth, Elite, and Open competitors. Awards will be provided to the top 4 placers in each category.
High Jump, Long Jump, and Triple Jump can be contested in Open/Elite (age 16 and above) if there are a minimum of four competitors for each event.

STC Youth Team Members Win State Track Championships!
Shocker Track Club Youth Team members Hannah Buller (Goddard-12 – 5A Pole Vault), Ryleigh Jackson (Goddard Eisenhower-11 – 5A Long Jump), Isaac Smallwood (Wichita Heights-12 – 5A Triple Jump), and Christal Mosely (Wichita Southeast-11 – 6A 200m and 400m) all claimed impressive State Championship victories at the Kansas State High School Athletic Association Track Championship meet! Alyssa Wheeler (Kapaun Mt Carmel-12) and Kris Wood (Derby-12) finished second in their respective 5A Pole Vault competitions. Congratulations to Hannah, Ryleigh, Isaac, and Christal, and Alyssa and Kris for their outstanding performances!

Heartland Golden Games a Windy Blast!
A beautiful, but breezy, day provided an opportunity for the Heartland Golden Games – USATF Missouri Valley Association 2017 Senior Masters Outdoor Championship Meet – to be held at Friends University in Wichita, Kansas.
Sixty-five senior athletes competed in the meet sponsored by the Shocker Track Club Masters Team.
Shocker Track Club Masters Team Members Grant Overstake, Claire Overstake, Steve Wilson, Joe Hoover, Kirk Burgess, Ron Ewy, Bill Butterworth, Maureen Bryand, and Larry Staton laced up their spikes for an exciting day of competition!

Tonya Nero Runs Well in Washington
Shocker Track Club Road Racing Elite Team member, Tonya Nero, competed in the Bloomsday 12K in Spokane, Washington on Sunday, May 7th, in 43:09 to finish in 82nd place overall! Click HERE for Tonya’s Results Detail.

Shocker Track Club Elite Team athletes Austin Bahner, Joshua Manuel and Dylan Reimer, and Open Team athletes Aaron Babbidge, Alex James and Chris Peters, competed in select events in the 2017 Shocker Open at Wichita State University on Friday, May 5, 2017.

Envision, a Wichita-based organization with a national reach, helps improve the quality of life for individuals who are blind or visually-impaired, sponsors the STC Volunteer Group. STC and Wichita State Track and Field sponsor “Envision 100m Dash” races for blind/visually impaired athletes at one meet annually.

STC Youth Pole Vaulters Sign Letters of Intent
Four Shocker Track Club Youth Pole Vault Team members recently signed National Letters of Intent! The future collegiate vaulters include – Mia Magby (Maize High) signed with Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, Missouri; Kris Wood (Derby High) signed with Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas; Hannah Buller (Goddard High) signed with Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas, and Jewel Eck (Andale High) signed with Wichita State University. Congratulations to Mia, Kris, Hannah and Jewel for their outstanding work on the track and in the classroom!
Bahner and Manuel Keep Working!
Shocker Track Club Elite Team members Austin Bahner (Decathlon) and Joshua Manuel (Sprints) competed last week at the Kansas Relays and University of Oklahoma John Jacobs Invitational, respectively. Bahner, competing in seven (7) select events in the Decathlon, finished in 14th place with 5321 points. Manuel fought through cross-winds to finish in 14th place in the 100m with a time of 10.71. Wichita State Track & Field Hosts Envision 100m Race
Wichita State University Track and Field hosted a 100m dash race for Blind and Visually Impaired athletes in today’s KT Woodman Track Classic! Dubbed the “Envision 100m”, it provides another opportunity to celebrate the relationship between Shocker Track Club, Wichita State University Track and Field, and Envision. Envision is the current sponsor of the Shocker Track Club Volunteer Group. Hannah Christenson, Support Program Coordinator, and Bonnie Cochran, Director, Support Programs, coordinated the participation by several blind or visually impaired (Paralympic) athletes. Several Wichita State University Track and Field athletes: Raianna Maples, Leah Reichenberger, All-Americans Jared Belardo, Nikki Larch-Miller and Taylor Larch-Miller, and Volunteer Assistant Coach, Alexis Montgomery, served as “guide runners” for the participating athletes! A BIG thank-you goes to Wichita State Assistant Director of Track and Field, John Wise, for coordinating the event!
